Mountlake Terrace Student raises $5,000 for CANCER LIFELINE

High school senior, Jillian Russell, held a fund raiser at her home last Saturday evening, March 25th, to benefit Cancer Lifeline, a Seattle-based not-for-profit organization designed to optimize the quality of life for cancer patients and cancer survivors.

Russell's senior project, a requirement for graduation, went above and beyond Cancer Lifeline’s expectation for a senior project. Russell organized and executed a silent auction display, raffle, and catered food and beverage for more than 100 guests. The event took months of planning and was very successful both in terms of dollars and awareness raised.

In attendance were Russell's family members, friends, neighbors, fellow students, teachers, and Cancer Lifeline executives Jan Gray, CEO, and Bruce Wood, Development Director.
