Cancer Lifeline Offers

You can choose from a wide range of programs, support groups, and classes at Cancer Lifeline. All are aimed at optimizing the quality of life for all people living with cancer -survivors (from diagnosis), friends, families, co-workers and caregivers.

All services are FREE of charge.

Our programs and services include, but are not limited to, the following:

24-Hour Lifeline - 1-800-255-5505 is the number to call for information, emotional support and referral to other cancer services. Now is a good time to call.

Cancer Specific and Caregiver Support Groups - You can join a Cancer Lifeline Support group that is specific to your cancer type, your gender, or your status as a caregiver. All Cancer Lifeline facilitators are professionally qualified and peer supported.

Couple & Family Support Program - A family consultant will meet in your home (or ours) to open lines of communication, clarify concerns and help families deal with the impact of cancer.

Healing Arts Program - Choose from a wide variety of creative experience and explore them in a supportive community that encourages emotional healing.

Health Promotion Program - Educational and physical activities are available to survivors -in any stage of treatment or recovery -as well as friends and family. Classes include Gentle Yoga, Stretch & Strength, Qigong as well as Nutrition and Cancer and other nutrition and exercise programs.

Lymphedema Education and Support Program - Lymphedema is a swelling of limbs which can be a side-effect of cancer treatment when lymph glands are removed. Learn to identify and manage the condition, get tips from others, make connections, and get support.

Share the Care - Sometimes called a 'one meeting wonder', this facilitated session helps you set up a care team to support a family or an individual dealing with cancer.

Workplace Consultation - Qualified consultants will come to your workplace and help managers and staff address issues that cancer creates on the job. Like all of our services, this consultation is FREE of charge.
